Sonora Green Clean was founded in early 2010 by two sisters who wanted to start an environmentally friendly business. They decided to start a cleaning company that offered the use of all natural, non-toxic cleansing products to clean homes. Tuolumne County was the perfect spot to start this business since there was not already a cleaning company in the area that exclusively offered these services.Wendy
Wendy is a ceramic artist whose wood-fired sculptures have been featured in galleries across the United States. To supplement her income, she has been cleaning homes for years using traditional commercial cleaners. She found herself coming home from work each day exhausted and feeling out-of-sorts. She started experimenting with natural cleaners at home to see if they worked. She soon realized that they could clean her home just as effectively as commercial cleaners - minus the headaches and lingering chemical smells. When no other company in the area appeared to be using eco-safe products, she decided it was time to start Sonora Green Clean.
Heather
Heather has a BS in Microbiology and was a Health Inspector for the County of Sacramento. This job entailed upholding the importance of restaurant cleanliness and food safety. A few years back she started using eco-friendly cleaning products within her home and now she uses nothing else. She realizes the importance of a clean home - minus the toxins. Wanting to work for herself and start a business that gave something back, she moved to the foothills with her husband to start Sonora Green Clean with her sister.
